We Help You Create More Successful Products

A Design Sprint is effective when the problem is meaningful enough and challenging enough that employees from different groups need to work together to find a solution.

The suggested ideal number of people involved in the sprint is 4-7 people and they include the facilitator, designer, a decision-maker (often a CEO if the company is a startup), product manager, engineer and someone from companies core business departments (Marketing, Content, Operations, etc.).

Design sprints also encourage original thinking through experimentation and iteration. Because of their focus on sketching and prototyping, it is possible to explore ideas that would typically be rejected by the company out of hand. Prototyping and sketching also reduce the cost of failure.

The Remote Design Sprint takes place across four days, with four phases: 1) Map and sketch 2) Decide and storyboard 3) Prototype 4) Test and learn. You can use this template to work with the full group during the first two days. Voting and Timer features are particularly useful when running a Design Sprint with a distributed team.
